Getting To Chattanooga By Road
Interstate 75: Interstate 75 enters Tennessee directly in Chattanooga at the southern edge and intersects with Interstate 24. From Chattanooga, Interstate 75 provides access to Jellico, and in northeast, to Athens, Cleveland, and Sweetwater. Interstate 75 exits the city to the northeast and overlaps I-40 near Farragut and runs eastbound. After overlapping, both the interstates enter the outskirts of Knoxville. Then, Interstate 75 overlaps itself with Interstate 640 and together they meet Interstate 275.
Interstate 24: Interstate 24 runs from Clarksville and provides access to Chattanooga via Nashville in the state of Tennessee. From west of Chattanooga, Interstate 24 enters Georgia's Dade County and runs for 4.10 miles before re-entering Tennessee.
Interstate 59: By connecting with Interstate 24 southwest of Chattanooga, Interstate 59 provides access between Chattanooga in the state of Tennessee and New Orleans via Birmingham, Alabama. The extended route also provides access to Southeast Mississippi. Interstate 59 also enters Georgia and ends at Interstate 24 which further connects itself with the Interstate 75 at Chattanooga, Tennessee. After bypassing Chattanooga, Interstate 59 runs along the Marion/Hamilton County line to the east.
